    Default Please regen the statues

I know, I know... if there's a rogue or two in your party blah blah blah... LOL!

But what if there is no rogue? Should a party of 3 warriors and 1 mage HAVE to fail? The smart alek response I got in chat was "you have to start over". That's absurd. Even if you start over you will still run out of statues. A party of three rogues and a mage doesn't have to fail, or three mages and a rogue, but three warriors and a mage? They can't get past the shield without a statue.

HP OF STATUES < HP OF BOSS !!!

All you have to do is regen the statues every once in a while, or have more in there.

we did an elite run that took forever and our statues all died before Krom did. I didn't realize we had to use strategy there and kill all of the mobs away from the statues. Who knew? Talk about frustrating. I haven't done that one elite since.

True, for sure. Unless they take this suggestion...

Devs, did you ever try to do this with three L35 warriors, or do you always test with a rogue in the party? I hope testing is not done in ideal conditions. That wouldn't be realistic.

Well, the glowing skeletons have to be killed in range of the statues, but all the other mobs are made of paper.

Even 2 warriors is waste of time
For elite use - one warrior, three rouge or swap rogue for mage for fast run or for an easy run slightly slower one warrior, two mages and rogue

Nah, you can kill mobs near statues now.

However, it helps to clear more mobs before you start on Krom, since you really want to target him, not all the trash.

The fight is working as designed. It's a bit of a DPS race in that you need to either clear out the areas beforehand or feel confident you can burn him down quickly.

I don't get it. Are you saying it is designed to be a fail for a non-rogue party? There is currently no game mechanism to guarantee one of each class in a PUG. So what I have to do is join the zone, and, if there is no rogue, quit, wait a bit, try again. Sounds broken to me.

Are you talking normal Crom, Snake? I think I have run it (as sorc) with 2 warriors and we made it. I am not superpowered.
You just need to protect the statues, not waste them, i.e.
    1. Clear all mobs before starting Crom (lure him away and die once you find him),
    2. Make sure the team is ready at the statue before bringing Crom,
    3. If sorcerer dies, lure Crom away from statue to protect it, until he returns.

Typically, you fail the first time, because you spend some time with the skeletons near him.
Let all party die, then respawn. This resets both Crom and statues. Now he is alone.

We used this same "trick" with 1 warr 1 rogue 2 sorc party, so I would say either we were not very good or, more likely, Crom scales according to DPS available.

Carapace, thanks for replying. I see from Milan's post that perhaps I need to strategize better.

Just don't run with 3 warriors, 1 is enough.

    How did it go, Snake?
I have run it with a rogue + 2 warriors recently and we only needed 2 statues so it certainly is easier with a rogue around... still talking about non-elite of course.
