Post Mage or Warrior for PvE

    Can you help me decide?
    A Level 20 Sorcerer Or A Level 18 Warrior

I was mage class before but because I die easily I switched to warrior class, then i still die often not sure if my gameplay doesn't fit the two said classes or my equips were too weak or my level is too low to be in my leveling area (watcher's tomb and some dungeons which i think my level doesn't fit).

For me (still new in the game):
Mage: (Great dmg dealer / Poor health / Support)
Warrior: (Not so good in dealing dmg / Excellent health / Support)

I hope you guys can help me in which character should i pursue.
If you're in the mood i hope you can explain each class depending on your experience using the said class.
Plus proper equips/skill build and leveling spots.

    Thanks in advance..

Warrior all the way IMO. Great skills, decent damage. Great in pvp, easy to play and build.

Downside is warrior equipment generally tends to be more expensive than mage equipment due to more demand in warriors. (I'd say it's the most played class).

On the support part yes mages can be considered support but with warriors I completely disagree. I feel they are a vital part to every party and a necessity in most tough maps.

One really tough map I can think of is elite skull cove. Take four mages they will most likely die and quit. Four warriors? They'd take a bit of time (and maybe not even so much if they have top equipment) but they will get it done with little casualties.

They are focal point, not support.

Lot warriors have mage alterego just for farming km3 and elite maps. Warrior class are made for pvp, more than one in a pve team is unnecessary and just slows down the party.

If you plan to be a tank get horn taunt. If you plan to elite juggernaut helps also. How many slots up to you. Some say 5/5,others less.

And yes like the previous poster said, more than one warrior in any party is hindering but what I wanted to say is how much of a "main character" a warrior can be to a party and isn't simply support.

sorry if i included support on warrior.. support in the way that warrior is the damage absorber of the party and it has heal with 2 sec invulnerability which really helps..

but if warriors equips will took me years to have a decent ones.. i might go back to being mage.. dem im having a hard time decisioning on which class to pursue..

Warrior is a boring class in leveling. Go sorcerer for fun and kills.

I've wondered how many players there are of each class. If gem prices are any indication, there are more warriors out there than any other class. That is strange because although they are easy to play, they are not in high demand for groups. At least in PvE, parties only need 1 warrior.

If you like protecting your teammates, moving a little slower through maps, not dieing a lot and don't mind paying higher premiums for eq, warrior.

If you like killing things quickly, being in higher demand for groups, getting cheaper eq and don't mind being killed more quickly, then sorceror.

Mage for PvE. I have a class of each at cap.

If you want to take centuries to kill things then pick a warrior, just saying.

Should listen to both of these guys...... And me. For PVE go Mage, for PVP go war. Mage is much more fun.

Choose Sorceror for PvE since they're fun and deadly.
Pick Rogue or Warrior if you plan to PvP at endgame.

Play whichever you prefer. I have all classes near cap but like my warrior the best. Also should mention I'm a tank in most mmorpg.

My first character (and my second) was a mage back in season 1. However, I found it anoying how often I died and I wasn't a fan of fast paced skill spamming (I usually play paladins so I figured mate's were AL's buffing class [I was wrong]). For these reasons I tried the other two classes and this was my analysis of pros and cons:

    Mages:
    Pros:
    1) spectacular crowd control.
    2) stuns more than any other class.
    3) pro mages are most desirable for elite parties.

    Cons:
    1) lowest survivability in game.
    2) weak mages are the bane of everyone's existence.

    Rogues:
    Pros:
    1) highest single target damage in game.
    2) everyone's favorite to have in boss fights.

    Cons:
    1) you drink mana potions like a Hummer does gasoline.
    3) almost no stunning skills.
    4) heal is very difficult to use.

    Warriors:
    Pros:
    1) highest survivability in game.
    2) incredible buffs.
    3) least potion consumption of any class.
    4) most desirable for avergae to semipro elite parties.

    Cons:
    1) pitiful damage output.
    2) if you die, everyone dies.
    3) landing PvP and PvE is borderline impossible.
    4) most expensive gear in game.
    5) almost entirely unwanted in pro parties.
    6) you will never (with few exceptions) make the timed runs leader board.

Yeah, since season 1 I still ask me why warriors gear its the most expensive...
Also warriors can survive and play pvp out geared more than rogues and mages . (jugg+vb its the key)

Thats why im not a good merchant , I cant see the logistic in the AL economy

Warrior gear is more expensive (theoretically) for these reasons:

    1) many young male players pick the warrior as a starter because it looks cool (ever notice how the people you can tell are young are usually warriors?)
-Aka: more demand increases the price.

    2) warriors save a lot of money by not needing as many potions as other classes.
-Aka: more gold to spend increasing prices.

    3) Magic.
-Aka: there is probably a reason I missed.
