Int is for Mana Regen. I suggest you do Int or Dex for a mage.

int: mage "Pure stat", gets regen and more mana for usage. can use staffs (lots of procs and special powers) and wands/bracers. heightens your skill damage.
dex: get some dodge/crit along with extra weapon damage. more amror than int.
str: some more survivability. lets you get in close with skills. have some procs

im a lvl 18, full int, heal maxed for now, the skil u got by default, that attack spell, thats not enough to get it done at higher lvl's right? for now i do aoe if im with a good group, heal a bit, weaken when needed and my regen is awesome.
any more tips on gear to get?
lightning is AWESOME (if you can cast it right after a bird cast thorns even better). firestorm is AWESOME (in combo with some ice even better). life drain is AWESOME (in any way ^^). max them out and your ok. any stat build.

lvl 18 is a suckish lvl to be at currently no offense
right now, twinking is extremely popular and the good armor at that lvl 18, 19, 20, around there are up to 150k highest
decent armor can be found in secret/hidden pasages accessible through many grates in numerous places

level up a few levels and you can find some cheaper pinks, around lv25. at least helms.

lvl 25 cheap int pink? all i know of is dreamers elven helm, which is at 10k now i think

Thanks a lot so far, i didnt know the hidden crate things had dungeons that can give pinks etc.. im lvl 21 now, so its going fast.. ill max thoose skills out first..
to bad its sometimes hard to get into a spot and no one is there.. wish there was more group work..

Im thinking of making my very low lvl mage into a paladin. I need to know all the good skills say whenever im lvl 50 what skills should i have max? PM ME please.
I put all of mine into Int because it raises your hit % as well as your mana pool.
How many int do I need (at level 50) to be able to use all int weapons? Past that I could start putting a few points into the dex.
It is around 158, but you don't need all that if you carry around another set of gear. You could stop at like 135 and use the gear to get to the equipment cap.
Honestly don't waste your time farming pinks at this level. By the time you get anything, you'll have gained enough levels to wear better gear. Pinks aren't that much better.

you shoul get cheap pinks at lvl 30.,. they cost like 1k to 2k each.. dont buy any rip offs beyond that..or wait till lvl 35 and get those for less than 1k.. they are pretty decent stuff.
items like brainfreeze are very cool but pricey (lvl 30 pinks but elite stuff.. cost about 10k-20k each..sometimes you get it cheap in cs for less than 10k).. you can use them till lvl 40 or 45..
the next level to get cheap pink is lvl 45... then once you get to lvl 50.. obviously try to get the cosmos stuff..
on the skill side.. i believe everything for mage is cool.. they only skill that ppl vary around is frost and ice storm and the mana sheild if i'm not wrong...
i personally go for mana shield for now so that you can tank...
to be honest i think mages make the best power levelers and farmers...
As i'm new to the pocket legends i have some questions regarding enchantress
I've played ultima online for around 10years so i've got some hefty experience in pvp/pvm whatnot, but it seems i'm still iliterate. I cant find information about this anywhere on forums so i'm asking here.
How does dex affect ...actually what does it affect? Does it affect swing speed?
What does str affect? Does it affect dmg done with a weapon?
I read dex affects criticals (prolly meaning critical hits?), and dodge chance. Does critical chance affect staves as well?
As i've always been a fan of mage fighter dual classing (kensai-mage in baldurs gate2, arcane warrior in dragon age hehe) i'd like to try this one here hence all the questions. Please bare with me
