L75 swift burd help!
Hi there! I have recently lvled my bird, Pancakepanic, to lvl 75. I then acquired a swift talon set, and tried to pvp. I got owned! Im not sure what im doing wrong. I have a few questions below.
1- is swift talon of recurve set better?
2-can someone give me a good pvp build? I think that may be part of my problem
3-should i be all dex or have some str as well?

Birds are IMO the hardest class to use since you need to be familiar with range, timing, and kiting. If you aren’t careful you will die within a few seconds. And even if you do everything perfectly and lose, it’s usually because of something called luck.
I believe that Swift Recurve>Swift Talon Set. Don’t be deceived by the talon’s DPS because at this level, people have 300+ armor which makes fast but low damaging weapons useless.
You can go Str if you want, you’ll have an easier time vs all Dex/Int classes but you will hardly beat anyone using savage, besides another warbird.
You should try capping, the phoenix bow is really cheap and has I think 20 more armor than the Swift Recurve. It will make pvp a lot easier.

Right now im drained of cash from buying the swift set, for a whopping 3.8m. Recurve obvipusly isnt an option for a while. I dont really like warbirds, as the slow killing bores me. I will take what you told me into consideration. Tysm, -Pancakepanic
I thought you said you already have the swift talon set, recurve is just 400k more
Wow someone really screwed you over for 3.8, considering they go for around 3.4, and a swift recurve is like 350, so full set shouldn't have even been that much.

I pvp/ctf with both Swift talon set and Swift Bow set. (I kill and get killed while using one of the sets)
to answer your question
1. Its Defense+Stats Vs. Damage+DPS
2. I'm not pro enough to tell you a good pvp build (._.)
3. Pure dex = more damage; Dex with Str = less damage than pure dex but has some added defense;
Im all out of cash except for 46k after buying swift talon set
The armor normally gos for around 2.2...i bought for 2.5. Cs prices way too high lately.
9 Blast
9 Blind
9 Evade
9 Focus
9 Repulse
8 Thorn root
6 Break
5 Avian
4 Thorn wall
1 shatter.
Rest Heal or You could go 7 repulse and add some point on Heal.

add some more points to shatter. its useful in bird combo (shatter + blast shot)
I don't see how people find shatter helpful, it doesn't really do extra damage with the Cruel Blast combo, just lowers more armor, right?
Also reduces opponent damage and increasing the rank=increasing base damage of shatter
I don't think heal is good at this level where you have virtually no time to use it. I reccomend more points in Root/Wall as its the only way you'll beat bears.

I dont know how to play bird unfortunately but i ve some nub(!) bird friends so i know a bit about them.
Try to be 76. If u get 5 k xp a day u can do it in a short time. While u are lvling u will probably drop something so don't care money.
If i were u, ı would use the bow for 1v1 fights and i would use talon for 3v3 or 2v2 ffa matches bcuz talons hax.
If u wanna rush just use bow.

People usually tend to have 1 or 0 shatter, considering a bird mostly stays at 12-10m ranges. But on those really annoying times when a warbird, bear, pally, str fox is up close to you, you can use shatter then blast to create Cruel Blast, which does more dmg than normal blast.

Yes I know but I meant why put more points into it, like 6 points. It really doesn't make much of a difference rather than one point into it.

If I'm correct, shatter makes blast 2x more dmg? Or somewhere like that? Gad, if only 9 shatter does basically same thing as 1 shatter, then only 1 :|

Cruel Blast=Shatter Damage+Blast Damage+Base Attack Damage I think. 9 Shatter lowers ~30 armor more than 1 Shatter with an additional ~80 Damage which adds up to 140(80 + 30+ 30) extra damage min which isn't really "basically the same thing". Still, shatter is only useful within 8m.
