GG! A Guide For Guilds (With Tips)
Just about everything you need to know about guilds.
I'll be as brief as possible.
1. What is a guild?
A big group of players working together as a team.
Benefits are
- Easier access to help for lvling, quests, and such
- Social network
Consists of
- 1 guild master
- x officers
- x recruiters
- x members
2. Ranks?
Guild master
- The leader, usually the player who created the guild.
- Master right is transferable.
- Can promote/demote/kick officers, recruiters and members; and invite players into guild.
Officer
- Promoted to by guild master ONLY.
- Can promote/demote/kick recruiters and members; and invite players into guild.
Recruiter
-Promoted to by guild master or officer.
-Can invite players into guild ONLY, can't kick members out of guild.
Members
-Invited by guild master, officer, or recruiter.
-Cannot promote/demote/kick/invite anyone.
3. How do I join a guild?
When you get a guild invite (in green text), go to social -> guild, accept invite.
4. How do I create a guild?
Access guild via social -> guild or guild terminal on UCS blackstar. Buy guild charter. Name your guild.
5. How do I use guild chat?
Type "/g" in beginning, press space, start typing.
e.g. "/g ponies are cute." will show up as "ponies are cute." in green text, i.e. guild chat.
6. Guild hall?
Where you can meet up and chill or discuss stuff.
You start with one (which is probably not the best guild hall in the world). Access guild (via social or guild terminal), buy guild hall with plat.
Tier 1 - better look with stash terminal
Tier 2 - better look with stash terminal and discount stimpacks
Tier 3 - better look with stash terminal, discount stimpacks, and discount enhancers (some enhancer will also be purchasable with credits)
7. How do I invite people into guild?
Must be master/officer/recruiter
- In base: click on player, click invite to guild after player's avatar page pops up.
- In fighting zone: click on name of player on top left corner (list of party with the players' hp & mana), click invite to guild when player's avatar page pops up.
8. How do I promote/demote/kick players?
Must be master/officer
Access guild (via social or guild terminal), click on player who you want to promote/demote/kick, click promote/demote/remove from guild.
9. How do I leave a guild?
Access guild, click leave guild. (not sure about this, you may need to demote yourself into member first, or not)
10. What is G.R. or G.O.?
Guild runs, only members of the same guild are allowed to join.
11. How do I let other players know which guild I'm in?
Set your title as the guild name. Go to avatar -> title -> select guild name.
Some tips
- Name your guild wisely, you can't change the name.
- I recommend using 20 plat to buy the charter, it's easier to obtain than 10k credits
- Be VERY careful with promoting players to officers, they can kick players from guild.
- Don't leave a guild without adequate reason. If you done so by accident (or in case of kickers), let the guild members know immediately.
- I recommend the tier 2 & 3 guild halls, you can always access stash in the trading & storage section of UCS Blackstar, no point in buying tier 1 except for looks.
- Don't spam players with guild invites, adds frustrations. Ask them first.
- Don't kick random players from guild for no reason or for fun... -.-
- Be VERY careful with transferring Master rank. Once you done so you can't reverse it, unless the person transfers it back to you.
- Don't beg for help and things, others will be annoyed.
- When doing "guild only" rungs, use a password, prevents unnecessary boots and potential drama.
- Show some pride by setting your title as the guild name! (go to avatar -> title -> select guild name)
