So that if you have to stop playing halfway (to sleep) just after you complete a quest and just before you begin another one you don't have to walk 13,439 maps just to get there again

What? This makes no sense. If your suggesting being able to resume where you left then no. Maps are small, takes like 2 minutes to run a map.

I would say maybe if maps were bigger and took at least 30 minutes to run.

I think the feature this person is requesting is already in the game, it's just that he doesn't know how to use it.

To get to any map you want, go to the map selection screen and either join a game that is already on that map or "create game" and create it on the map you want to be in.
