    Default New interactive elements idea

Now that we have the fire grates in goblin dungeon, is it possible to make things like the boulder king throw boulders or have boulders constanly rolling thru the field as you fight him. These would do pretty intense damage and make it more than a gang pile on the boss. Seems that you may have figured out how to have more than just the monsters do damage, so some elements within the game that also do damage while playing would make it a heck of a lot more interesting, esp. for level 45 - 50. Sniper and lorekeeper, etc. can be soloed by a good player. I think a bit of added difficulty would be interesting.

Lol old style donkey kong barrels/boulders would he epic.

Have it stormy in the forest before the stronghold or rock field, lightning strikes often around the map.

Maybe it wouldn't work with the boulder king. Donkey Kong was also the first thing I thought of while writing it. I think that dates us...Oh how I loved my Atari 64!

Where is this boulder king? I've seen the rock monsters, but didn't come across any king. Now I must find him!

Weird, I cleared to single digits at least and never saw him. I guess I wasn't looking for him, either.

Yes! STS does a very grates job on this lol
improoving interaction with environement really enhance the gameplay (as smalls details, like spiders running in Gob stonghold, and the skulls spikes quest.)
i really like theses news features, i can't wait for more!

Boulders would be soo coool, maybe in a volcano themed campaign? (or in the mysterious (rusty) Mine?)
Poisonous gas in Swamps and Crypt ( for this one, you whole screen could start flashing and morphing randomly)
Radioactive barrels in Alien Oasis 2
Tornadoes in the Alien Oasis Desert.
slowing (not freezing) cold winds in Lost Expedition open areas.
Bees nests in Forest Haven, lol if you hit it, bees attack you and everything arround.

Boulder = Epic Indiana Jones image. Yeah I have a thread a while back suggesting more interactive terrain.

I really think that landscape stuff that can damage you pretty good, relative to the level you are in, could make this a lot more interesting. The need to dodge the moving terrain, etc. would prevent the boringness of rushing in it's new form.

Sounds like a Gameloft game . Swinging axes, pitfalls. They'd have to give us a faster running speed and a jump button if they add these things!

There wouldn't be jumping or swinging actions, simply some terrain items that require you to move aside occassionally or you take damage. Would make miniboss fights a bit more interesting. I checked that thread and I agree somewhat. I think different speed of movement might be too much, but in the swamps those stills should definitely bubble over and the liquid causes damage if your too close.

lol omg epic! 3d barrels! Like while your clearing the dungeon, the dungeon is on a hill, and throughout the dungeon, barrels and boulders rain down and are hard to dodge!

yeah, as walk speed is already slow and boring in big maps, i think it's not a good idea to slow it down again.
But as an opposite, there should be a way to increase it, for example, when you pass the cap of 95% enemies killed, a speed orb appear at the start, so if your team all fail at the boss, at least you mage can get back to the place and rev the team. ( in AO3 for ex.)

to add more strategy, and improve teamwork, add some switch actions,
like 1 person have to active a switch then the rest of the team can pass the door, and activate the other side switch to re-open it for the 1st person. stuff like that, basic zelda style, lol.

btw, have a nice day everyone

I like that. Maybe have like a giant locked door in the middle of the map. The only way to unlock it is to have players stand on a map scattered around the dungeon. This gives two options. Slow teamwork or risk death with opening the door by having everyone go solo to open it faster.
