"You are to low level to give away certain item"

Today, someone asked me to gift few potions. I was on my l4 fox character, picked 500 of each pots from stash and went into the trade with that guy. But as soon as I clicked the second "confirm" button, this error came out and trade was canceled. ("You are to low level to give away certain item"). I have never met this error before, seems that you need to be at least lvl 5 to be able to trade potions. Anyone have ever experienced this? Or anyone know certainly what is the min level wchich enables you to do that?

Yeah, happens on my lev1. It's one of a few restrictions for low levs. I think their intent was to eliminate ppl making toons for the sole purpose of exploiting the free potions, then deleting and repeating the cycle.

Yes, I just tested that put, and you must in fact be level 5 to trade potions. Very strange.

weird, 25 free potions doesn't seem like much of an exploit. I wonder if there was some secret underground low level potion scheme that led to the ban LOL

Nah... They did it because they hate us.

They fixed this "exploit" in a pretty clever way. You had to finish like 12 quests and then you could access the stash, even on a level 1. There is no way that finishing those quests still payed of for getting the potions. But when level 1 twinking was at its peak, they just suddenly decided to make that silly level requirement. And as if that wasn't enough, they had to implement the "no xp gain no kill" rule. Sigh...

Though I see the pro's and cons to this "hold/restriction" it kinda isn't that big of a deal, seeing you can hit lvl 5 pretty easy, so it's not like you have to hit lvl 50 to open your stash and get and stash items. And on the point of account ramking to gain pots, personally if your that desperate to get gold/pots and you only get 25 each time then really I'd let you lol, (if you can't afford 5k to put on about 300 pots then there's a problem lol) but yah just my point of view I guess
