I have 2550 platinum, but do not know what to do with it. Could someone enlighten me on what I should spend it on?

re-roll elixirs and mythic pet after expansion release and/or locked if you're into gambling once you're newly capped.

Yes don't spend now! If it were me, I would get inventory slot, auction slots set up and ready to go. Even then I would only spend story tokens!. Get mythic pet and use the rest for luck elixirs. If you're feeling lucky, you can try your luck at crates. Buy a lep if you don't have one yet

If you wait, you can open locks AFTER expansion and so, you may get new mythics, which will be much more expensive then the old ones

2) use all your plat to open them
3) gift whatever you get to me

As others have said, wait for the expansion. It's likely going to be released in 9 days (the 27th)--not exactly a long wait.
Grab the shiny new mythic pet.
Maybe get the big stash upgrade.
Hit the cap. Run the new elite maps with friends & use re-roll elixirs. Or burn all your plat on crates, in a gamble for new mythic and arcane gear.
