Difference between Elite Golden Puzzlebox and Elite Golden Puzzlebox II?

Whats the difference? Does the II version give better chances of looting the arcane staff?

the reason why they are called so is..

once a new season releases they make the before season elite chests name changed to II

all the previous seasons elite chests are called like that

Well the reason they do this is because the elite golden puzzleboxes would have loot up to lvl36 and elite golden puzzleboxes II would have loot up to lvl41. This is because of a mistake that happened between seasons one and two. People hoarded elite golden chests at the end of the season one when they were cheap, and then immediately opened them at the beginning of season two, looting a ton of lvl21 elite gear without having to have run a single season two elite run. So this is done to prevent this from happening again. It keeps people from hoarding the elite golden puzzleboxes when they are cheap at the end of season 5 and opening them at the beginning on season 6 to quickly loot lvl41 elite gear. Lvl41 elite gear will only come out of elite golden puzzleboxes II looted during season 6. These that you see probably dropped during the glitch that let people play elite levels...

That is all relative and a matter of time. Elite Golden 1's would be QUITE valuable right about now ...

Also, if you were hoping for the Arcanestaff and mythic items, the 1s will no longer drop them but the 2s will. That's what STS did with the Golden pirate chests 2

Is that so? If thats the case then that should greatly devalue the 1s. Theres no point getting the 1s. But in CS 1s are still generally pricier than the 2s.

The elite puzzlebox II currently drop in arena.

The normal pink drops there still lvl35-36. I opened some boxes but stopped after no pinks but lvl41 epics inside, did someone opened something meaningful?

And the few I opened, it usually ended up being the worst kind of helm and armor which no one would want. Check out:

Conquistador's Doublet of Potency Level 41
43 Dex 22 INT 3.0 Damage 772 Armor

Shade Rainment of Will Level 40
42 Dex 21 INT 789 Armor

I don't believe any Shade or Architect armor has any damage. And the armor difference is insignificant. So at this point I would say crate gear is the best and cheaper. Also I didn't do a comparison with Tarlok but the damage stat on level 36 Tarlok gear is higher but the armor is lower. I am not sure what the price justification is of EGP II.

Sure if you compare rogue gear then yes. Crate gear for rogues is always good. But for sorcerers and warriors, it may be different. And there is still that possibility of looting a kershal. So the price should be marginally higher.
