Are the lvl 36 mythics still the best gear in the game?

Upgraded mythic armor and helm are still the best armor for warrior. I don't know about the other classes yet.

Magma Daggers do have higher damage then Level 36 Mythic Dagger. I don't know about the other Mythic weapons.

People are still looting mythic amulets and rings (30) during 41 expansion. STS needs to address this if they add new ones suddenly!

True that but myth daggers are still better cos other stats.

It all depends on what you value in your statistics. I cannot speak for warrior and rogue armors, but for sorcerer the magma "of security" does offer more health and armor than mythics, but less damage and crit. Overall I think the mythics are probably a bit better, but not by much.

I think STS made a good move in having some stats of legendary gear better than that of previous season myths so that the current legends have some desirability, depeding on one's play style or need in maps, etc. If level 36 mythics were altogether better than 41 legendaries there'll be no more incentive to run elites and everybody will go back to farming crates.

Yes, upgraded mythic armor/helm are significantly better than other legendaries.

Fang/Doom/Lunar are on the borderline of becoming expired.

Blood Ruby is still OK ... For now.

Mythic Bow is dead lol
