Hector's build works great for him and I have no qualms about it when running. He does a damn good job with it and never dies on trash in Elite Tindirin.

So my suggestion for you is to find what works for YOU and not follow a specific players build.
I try to only suggest what I have seen works best. However, if I do see a falsity I try to point it out so others aren't misinformed. At one point, twinks believed SS dealt higher damage over time than Axe throw because one guy claimed it.
