    Default Panic Immunity

    Hey folks,

    This season, it has become almost imperative for a team to have above 3-4 samaels, because of the OP panic on AA and passive attack. With a team of 5 samaels, the opponents can potentially be stunlocked for a very long period of time.

    To reduce the overpoweredness and must-haveness of Samael, I think Panic Immunity should be implemented. It needn't be as high as stun immunity (7 seconds) - 5 seconds is perfectly reasonable. While not voiding a team of 5 samaels, it doesn't make it imperative to have them.

    Instead of being stunned for 5*2+fireball=12 seconds (ignoring the passive panic) with a team of 5 samaels, where the first samael is ready to use after another 10 seconds and the cycle is repeated, this could potentially make PvP have much more scope for the people without Samael, and underrated pets like Grimm with its insane debuffs could be towed into the limelight.

    Thoughts?

    Oh, go on, by all means speak harsh. Sigh. I never said there MUST be only 1 sam, just that it won't be imperative to have 5 sams to win.

    Even after pet spamming is fixed, this issue will remain as there is no immunity to panic/terrify.


    Never understood why my rogue has to look like Arlor Messenger when clashing against more than two samael users.

    I'd like to see Samael removed from PVP totally. It's so OP that players without it have very little chance when facing groups of players all sammed-up. I recently broke down and bought Sam just to remain competitive. After seeing the insane difference it makes to survival in pvp, it's clear that this pet is often replacing the need for actual skill and technique. This means that PVP is now just a place where those with the most money win (see also: arcane ring), rather than a skilled part of the game, like it should be.

    But back on topic, at the very least, panic should be treated as a stun, with the appropriate immunity in place. Also agree this is not a pet spamming issue.

    I agree with the OP 1000000%. When I clash usually both teams have 4 Samaels and possibly a misty or singe. So there's constant panic, especially since the pet has both passive and arcane ability panic.

    There are already immunities on stun and snare (crawly), so why not panic?

    I really think that if this were to happen it would create a lot more balance to the arcane pets currently in existence in terms of their usefulness in clashes. We'd only need maybe 2 Samaels total per team and probably grim, singe, etc.

    It would allow prices to become more equivalent rather than Sam selling for 25m while Glacian sells for a mere 8m.

    And agreed the spamming issue needs to go and this new client update has been coming for far too long now. I know many players are simply quitting CTF clashes just because of how ridiculous they are.

    Implement a panic immunity and it'll be the best thing STG has done for CTF since implementing the bubbles.
