Okay I been playing this game since season one.. Quit for a year after dead city expansion with about 2.3m which was extremely rich back then.. I come back about 6 months ago and see people with like 100+m.. I am just curious to how you guys gained that much money? Locks? Merch? Because I know farming elites or locks won't get you no 100m that's for sure. See I am a Plat buyer so I can open locks and got lucky on a glacian and hj loot but I am still no where near rich now in this game like some people. Just curious to know how many u opened or what u had to do to become that rich. Hope to hear some pointers!

3) during mythic weekend open all locks
4) sell mythic weapons and hopefully an arcane shard ( 75-80m it costs)
5) brag on forums about your wealth

100m mark is possible from merching, but the real game changer is opening locked with real money.

I was dead broke in August of last year after buying a Lunar pendant to complete my level 30/31 mythic set. Since then I have not made any large purchases and have continued to merch and farm and sell every item I farmed. I have not opened any locked crates nor have I purchased any items for plat and then resold them for gold (i.e. Grimm/Ripmaw eggs or elixir kits)....

So in the 10 months that have elapsed since then, I have saved 41m and I easily have another few million worth of "investment" items in my inventory. So yes, it is possible to make a ton of money by farming or merching, but you really have to put in a lot of time. I'm still not even close to rich enough to buy an arcane ring, and I'm torn between the idea of saving for the ring or giving up and instead buying a samael egg (my only arcane pet is hammerjaw). For now I'm just saving and intend to see what is coming later this season.

Not entirely true. I've spent 30,000 +/- platinum on crates and never looted a mythic or arcane item.

So options 4-5 may work just not for everyone.

To anyone who has seen me in-game and wondering how I got any items in this game. Ive been playing since season 1 so I have all platinum vanities that where ever available. You may ask why Generalzod has Glacian (my only arcane item) cause I quit season 1 and came back level 36 cap (whatever season that was) and sold my heraldic sets for 13 million and bought mythic armor and Glacian.

I'm just letting everyone know that you don't have to spend thousands of real world dollars in this game to be rich. I'm the perfect example of that.

This is not a bragging post (trust me my kdr is horrible to be playing since day one. People call me out all the time on it). I'm just hope people don't believe that you have to spend real money to actually become rich in this game.

I suggest everyone take their time learn the market and merch properly.

^^ hes 100% correct.. Money cannot make u rich in game unlesss ur rdy to spend serious amount of money i. E 1k$+
