Default Armour passive as lame as Damage passive ?

We all found out about the lameness of the damage passive, but now I hear through the grapevine that many warriors are dropping armour passive and use points elsewhere.

Is the armour passive lame ?

Some have even suggested that for a warrior even Int passive doesn't make much difference. Can anyone shed some light into this whole passive mess, I am very confused about this. I don't want to waste my skill points on useless stuff.

Perhaps this is why STS is gonna gives us a new skill setup, I dunno.

I have 5/5 durable and notice the small effectiveness when I receive critical hits. IMO.

Both armor and damage passives are subject to the highest buff wins scenario. So, with a 5/5 armor passive, it is effectively 0/5 there the moment you walk into a shadow veil, since the buff from smoke is greater than the 5% passive.

The difference however between armor and damage is that Armor will keep us alive longer and there aren't that many armor buffs in the game that are % based.
% Damage buffs on the other hand are a dime a dozen.

Their are two percent based armor buffs in game besides passive: Shadow Veil (+20%), and Glacian's arcane ability (+10%)

Unless either is in play, passive armor works (small impact, but worth it IMO).

Thank you guys for the responses.

No wonder rogues keep on yelling at me to stand in the shadow veil LOL

Basically from what my noobness is gathering from this passive malarkey, is that if your buffs from gear or pets are greater than your passives, your passives are worth zero?

Jeez if that's the case then why have passives, just have more awesome gear and pets with different range of buffs to suit player styles ~ the noobness is strong in this one.

Actually more gold spent on a wide range of gear for playing styles = gold sink, and tons of pets available with varied buffs = plat spend, win win situation.

STS what THINK! Diff passive buffs in MYRIAD of varying gear and pets!

Pet designers and armour designers in STS get your creative juices flowing, except the guy who made dragonscale armour for warrior, give that person a long holiday

Only passive damage and armor have that glitch. Passive stat boosts such as Str, Int, and Dex will not be zeroed out by pets.
