I know that many of you people think of this when they are playing AL. I was wondering, who do we respect in the game? All the players? Or some special people?
Is it all the people who deserve the respect, or are there factors which affect who we give respect to? Are we fair in giving respect or not?

Imo to respect someone in a game you have to have with that person a type of relationship you can't build right away unlike irl except in special cases . So you must go beyond the game.

People who play fair and try to help people without taking advantage of the ignorant or misinformed.

Who I respect...
1. People who are friendly and have no prejudice.
2. People who are humble no matter how good or rich they are.
3. People who share, be it knowledge or assets
4. People who appreciate the dignity of hard work.
5. People who know this is a game, know that some things happen as a part of the game and thus don't take everything too seriously.

Same for me. Except I'd like to add:
6. People who don't get bummed up about a level 10 in their guild :|
7. People who strive to work for others and help people selflessly.
8. People who randomly gift items to the new players and make their day

But some good quality traits that i occasionally see in a good player:

• Selfless: Willing to sacrifice their ability to play for the sake of helping the unprivileged. Those who are charitable and recycle their old gear to the new and needing.

• Humility: Willing to lower oneself in relation to others (even if they are a veteran). One thing i don't like (i see it all the time from many players) is that quite a few players flaunt the fact that they've been playing since s1 or beta (and disguising it under "who remembers this?" or "i miss this!"). It's as though they want to be seen as better-than-everyone-else, which actually disgusts me.

• Respect: Treating others with kindness, integrity, and decency. Players who are tactful, and who speak their mind in a mature way.
