    Default Camera Rotation and PvP/TDM not need with a certain fix....

    Camera rotation is being discussed in another thread today, and when I think about it, the only place where camera rotation really bothers me is on the TDM map.

    In CTF, the angle for both teams is reversed, so when coming at me from the other side, if I can see my opponent then they can also see me, and if I want to try to sneak up on them in their blind spot, I will be as blind as they are.

    However, in TDM both teams have the same viewing perspective, so it's always a race to get to the bottom of the map so you have a better view than your opponent.

    Perhaps the solution here is to reverse the playing angle of both teams in TDM just like is the case in CTF, so that up on my screen is down on my opponent's screen. Then there will no longer be this issue of having to run to the bottom of the screen so you can see what is coming. As I charge at my opponent, they will see me coming, and if I'm moving towards them from the top down, then I can't see where they are, but they cannot see me either.

    Any thoughts?

    That is true, but for me, the fun aspect about TDM is that they don't see you coming! It's the only place where mages stand a chance against glaive/Samael warriors...

    I feel like rogues have a huge advantage in TDM because they can one shoot us if we don't see them coming.

    This. TDM is a rogue's playing field because a combo can easily kill a mage moving down (charged bow interrupts shield charging, aimed nox sp combo finishes the smurf off)

    Rogue's spawn kill using the camera advantage. So once you die, you need to make your way along the edge of the outside of the map as fast as you can to a spot where you can see. Also you should look to regroup with your team, the two aren't always possible. But by moving along the far edge of the map it cuts off various paths of attack which you can't see. If you move down the middle of the map, then you are just asking to get blind sided.

    Switching the camera angle to be opposite of the other team would fix this problem and make it more like the camera angles in CTF.

    Rogue vs rogue is a nightmare in tdm, the lowest one wins 90% of the time

    Good suggestion. Either that or camera unlock to be made an option after a certain level (eg. meeting an NPC which can free it in Kraag). No one asked for the textures to be perfected; in every single place that camera rotation is most needed there are no incomplete textures anyway.

    depends on how you play...in tdm i either rg with my team or i always go down...not from the middle but from the far ends...that helps me hide for sometime..
