how many locks do u usually open?

i want to open locks but i dont know how many locks should i open.. i dont want to waste too much money so im planning maybe 100 locks first.. can someone pls share how many locks have they opened and what are the results? thanks

I know a few who pop 100-500 crates consistently and the result varies for every individual. There are some who manage to score an Arcane shard on the 4th-5th crate (I know him personally); while there are others who despite opening 100+, never get any arcane nor mythic item. In the end, it's always luck that envelopes the whole crate opening process. The trick here is to open only what you feel like opening. I suggest taking periodical breaks in between 10 crates perhaps just to get a hold of yourself.

I've opened around 230 crates in the past, and never looted a mythic or arcane item, but I've been thinking about opening some more when they release the new mythic weapons since I haven't opened any in almost a year. I figure eventually I'll get something good.
