It costs more in the GH cause your guild needs more money coming in to keep the GH lights on.

Chairman Meow does this in other parts of the game as well not just the GH. It's odd, there are times when I can see him and my guild mates said he is in the floor. I kind of like it...makes him more unique then the other pets.
