Why does the energy count down timer reset back to 8 hours when I use a energy kit? It basically renders the passive energy regeneration useless when you constantly use energy kits.

Yes true, this happened to me as well. I thought I could use a few energy kits while my regen-clock was working - had 2 hrs left for regen..And there just after using 1 energy kit, the clock resets to 8 hrs.
This thread should be in technical issues and bugs.
I was wondering this exact thing. Good to know. I will plan accordingly when I use kits.
I've noticed as long as you don't completely refill your energy leaving one empty, the timer will not reset. I suggest only using one kit at a time.
