on topic: Yes its hard to go in top 10 in leaderboard. People dont have to adjust on u, u should adjust to them inorder to be 1st. This is a real plat spending event, Plat buying is the main source of Sts's profit as a company they will sure make the plats wanted for people, its there business trick.
If your plats are not enough, u have to do the adjustments to yourself. The event lb are only for who are devoted in buying plats and buying energy.
Last event was disaster 2 players didnt have time to rest and to do real life activities, yet they did adjust and 1 of them won 1st place.

LB contest are traps that literally drain their partecipants: mentally, physically and economically.
The bait is a Shady and Surge and other appetible prizes.
You pay with your gold/plat /time/health.

But

Lb contest are traps easily recognized so its your fault and only yours if you choose to fall for them
