Default "How to get boss fired"?

So from the title this is about my boss needing to leave. Here is the situation: I work at a country club in the men's locker room, my boss is the manager of the men's locker room. My job is to clean, to fold towels and most importantly clean the rich peoples golf/street shoes. My boss on the other hand is on his comfy chair in front of his computer about 90% of the time. The other 10% of the time he talks to the members (people who go to club) and Sais "let me clean those shoes for you (this is part of his job)" then he proceeds to giving me or my coworkers (about 3 of us there at a time) and we proceed to spiking, washing, polishing, painting, buffing the shoe. Then he takes the shoes, gives them back and pockets the tips (another big issue) and then proceeds to sitting down and continuing on. He takes off all holidays and tells us we can't (to make up for his not being there). Complains about the members once they leave, talks about his girlfriend and their private time (everyone working there is 15-17 and does not need to know how he does stuff) He leaves randomly for 4-5 hours at a time to "run some errands" or shower (lives 20 minutes away) and does not clock out (though he is on a salary so i don't know if that matters) he favorites his girlfriends son (who just happend to get the job over someone who applied 2 weeks earlier and had previous experience at a golf club... He does not give us actual break time (I live in michigan but I don't know laws on mandatory breaks for minors :/ ) when he is gone he has us collect tips and leave them on his desk with a sticky note of who tips (he then asks members if they tipped...) and threatens to fire us if we do keep tips. He Sais that we CANNOT receive tips, but then if he earns enough (on average $500-700 in tips a day) he will give us $5 in tips.

All in all I wanted to put this all in writing to our HR lady. But how is what I'm trying to figure out..... Ssooooooo

Do I write a letter or an essay? What format do I use, MLA or APA or what? The human recource lady has been friends with my boss for 14 years :'( so if can't just write all this down, should I put it in a question form, to introduce the subject but not sound like I'm attacking him? Just need a bit of guidance, and should I sign it at the end or make it anonymous? I'm also giving this to the clubhouse co-manager, who is new and does not know him.

This probably isn't a question to ask on a forum where the majority of players are kids. Try talking to someone like your parents or a teacher. Maybe if you talk to your boss about what you think he is doing wrong he'll lighten up a bit. Maybe he won't but its worth a shot, right?

I know a lot of the forumers are a bit older. Dad's an engineer and mom is a physist :/ not best to ask on a English question and it is summer, no teachers

It doesn't really matter that your parents work at something different. They could still know how to help. Who knows, maybe they once had a problem with their boss. There's gotta be some adult or role model in your life who you can talk to, some of them could've been in a situation like yours once and you may never even know it until you talk to them.

yes, you should put it in question form to introduce the subject without directly attacking, as much as possible. Focus more on how these things stop you or your co-workers from doing your work more effectively, rather than on what he is doing wrong.

PS, if you need help with the english, pm me the letter if you want and I will fix the errors

It's great you want to follow a style sheet, but you don't really need to. If it helps as a starting point, sure, any one is fine. Yes, in letter form.

I never said you upset me I'm just saying there are plenty better places to ask a question like this than on a video game forum.

Of course you should write the letter to the lady, but also have your co-workers (minus the girlfriend's son) write basically the same letter. Have all of you write about the same problems, and either suggest something, or suggest that someone higher up talks to him. I've had a fair share of my father's bosses (when he was around) being just as much of a douche as this guy sounds like. My dad talked straight to the guy that opened the company up in the first place, and turns out that 6 other people had already complained, so BAM. This may not be the best place to ask around, but you've gotta get help somehow, right? Another suggestion would be, I don't know how far away the HR lady works, but you guys could go talk to her in person. I think that is a better way than to write a letter, but then again, I don't know the full situation as in how far away she is/how grumpy she is o.o Good luck with this, hopefully something gets done.

I find the people here to be quite the intelligent group of people, and it is the off-topic section

Oh. In that case, you need to be very careful about what you write. Just outline your problems without naming anyone. Most of the things you mentioned, the complaining, what he talks about, the favoritism, can't be directly talked about. At best you can point out how your work time is being mis managed, because of the manner in which you are kept occupied. You can explain about the breaks and holidays, though.

Call the law. If you are a minor and he discusses explicit materials around you that is called harassment, and is grounds for a lawsuit and/or criminal charges.
