bears arent useless but ther a tough class to deal with lol they need more armor a bit more health pool and a tins bit mre stronger damage with better skills
like seriuosly devs think about it bears have the lowest damge and alot of armor how does that help? bears can only take damgage cause there skills and swords are close range! think it through beckon wont help because once opponent get close they run away!

I don't know what people are talking about bears still need more work I got lots of aggro last night in shadow caves as a pally and my prime focus was healing and rezing. Even with full int mages in the group design I wasn't even trying to tank anything.
Edit: I didn't notice bears were holding aggro more but still not enough. I ran with 6 different tanks too.

Str Bear should know well how to use this class - Tankers are always on front line, Healers back line, Arches or Melees can go anywhere from close-range to mid-range. That is the basic concept of working as a team in those dungeons. Tanker go in first and do their work like taunt ability. I have no problem getting aggro with one simple button of taunt ability. Others got aggro? Take them back to you.
Afraid to go down in one-hit KO? Then You can't be tanker. :P I believe bear's abilities are perfectly fine only because I know how to use them.

They're still kinda crap, but at least ill see more of them once again. I just hope people wont ride the bandwagon too hard.

Except, I was playing on my bear ALL last night in 4 runs. I found out a way to make sure I have always established aggro. Everybody in my team used a total of 10 health pots per map when I was tanking. Btw the name of my bear is bodyguardz.Originally Posted by ProSophist

I just wanna know if the passive self-confusion skill that spins you around after you're revived, is a bear-only skill, or does everyone get that?

LOL I tried to make sure I didn't die, I did die twice though there when I took on 3 djinn and one boss at the same time. As soon as I died, before that everybody was at full health, after I died, everybody dropped like slow motion falling dominos. One by One they all dropped dead.

I don't think I've ever seen another bear use taunt. Seriously.
Most runs I tank, unless there is an actual bear in the pack... I'm pretty good at it even being a bow bear and yet I still got booted by some dink who said "I hate fockin bears" (his exact words). I can solo OL, yet I'm worthless apparently? Can we put an age cap on this game? These 'give me everything on a silver platter twelve year olds' are driving me bonkers. Mommy is probably mad that he swore and PL may get sued... grrr

SORRY to tell you but i like bears and they are strong in pvp too and i know many tricks to defeat a long rage . PS.. dont disgrace other characters opinion on choice!!!!!

I play strictly pve. My first lvl 71 was a Mage. After sitting around waiting on bears for mystery mash I decided to lvl my bear to 71. Now I consider myself somewhat skilled at this game,but really should be some kind of aggro modifier on maybe swords/shield combo or something like that. On boss fights I tend to lose aggro mid taunts while spamming everything not on cool down. Or maybe even modify taunt to have a aggro modifyer for X amount of swings after it was activated or something. That's the only fault I see from a pve perspective.
I never get booted due to being a bear. What I do find though is that the mages and birds always tend to run up ahead of me towards the mobs, and then they get killed instead of waiting for me to tank. I don't mind though. I just do what I can and I always use taunt when fighting the boss.
