I wrote these tips on another thread but figured to put it here as well in hopes that the knights will find it useful.
Rogue survival tips on nerfed armor:
- Always use effigy buff on elite runs. Apart from the armor, the doll gives crit buff, and we all can use more crit now that passive crit is nerfed
- Use pets like Swift and Stanlee that gives armor boost. Swift's pull can help with crowd control and Stanlee's AA buffs damage and crit to all party.
- If you already have a Nekro in party, consider using Maridos. In addition to the huge health boost, Maridos AA gives 15 STR, which means more HP for everyone, and the 15% armor doesn't hurt either, just in case, for example, your doll buff expires mid-fight.
- Crowd control pets like Breeze help give you some breathing room from the manic potting.
- Blinky's AA drops enemy dmg by 50%. Timed well, it's a lifesaver. Save the AA for when Rengol giant does big red zone attack for example.
- If you use daggers, use shadow veil to raise your armor while lowering enemy damage and hit chance. Shadow veil doesn't stack though, so just one rogue using it in party is enough. Warrior benefits from the veil as well if it is dropped around them as they tank.
- If you use razor shield, time it well. Use it when you have to close in on an target you want to pick out. Or when running to skip mobs. Or when Nekro shield is down.
- If you don't think your armor is strong enough for you to pierce into a group of mobs, consider taking shadow storm shot as your third attack skill, instead of shadow piercer. The skill has been fixed and now works well.
- If necessary, for example when you can't find a good warrior to tank for your party, use damage reduction elixir. It's cheaper than ankhs and depending on where and who you run with is good for between 3 to 6 runs.
More than ever now, a warrior's skills in tanking is crucial for the safety and smoothness of the runs. Luckily the warrior's masteries are good for better taunting of enemies and protecting allies. Vigulfr and Warhorseman had been looking into axe throw, windmill and heal masteries with satisfactory results. I encourage all warrior knights to discuss changes to their build with these tanks. We have always included warriors in our runs, but now especially, we can no longer tolerate poor tanking, because the rogues can't take up the slack anymore and tank for the party.

So the community goal progress bar has to fill up three times (Bronze, Silver and finally Gold tier) to get expansion maps to open. That's a lot of crafting material to farm. So here are some ideas on how to make this farming activity less boring:
- Find the Elusive Four. Blitz through the last two Dead City maps, the last three Nordr maps, and Grog Beach/Skull Cove/Palmrock Island in Kraken Isles to find Amra-zu, Argex and Firstmate Ripper. Getting them all in addition to Skratch will give you the Elusive Four achievement
- Find elite Bael 2 and Krunch 2. Kill bosses in Windmoore Harbor, Mt. Spyr, and Crystal Caverns for a chance to spawn Bael 2. Kill bosses in Oltgar and Lost Mariner Reef for a chance to spawn Krunch 2. Both elite bosses give achievement
- Find the minibosses of Rockhorn Summit. Run the whole map to find the snake Hisoth, the komodo Il'loran and the dragkin Berlu. Take selfie with them before you kill them for a chance of tooth. Post here or on Line chat to boast your encounter with these super rare minibosses
- Kill mobs and bosses in elite maps to get the elite kill APs. Party up so the warriors get a chance to farm elite stars too
Vary your farming zone every 15-20 minutes.
If you can't find a party to farm, solo the maps, then let's meet in GH to share materials. Last year many knights had their names immortalized in the Fortification of Garetta event leaderboard. It might be harder to accomplish that now. But we can do our very best.
