Boo for the dummy farmers

Lately I noticed some dummy farmers that farm 3k kills in 1 day, because they are desperate to get a banner that they don't even deserve


For 2 years I worked to get to lb and the ctf kills that I have now. But because of those dummy farmers i got 3-4 ranks down on lb and now I am on the last rank. It is not OK if another dummy farmer pushes me off from lb and gets a banner, while I won't get the banner that I deserve after hard work and time.. and also the others who worked hard as well.

Please, do something about it, thank you!

STS is trying to crack down on cheating, but the thing is, people will always find loopholes.

I agree, really needs to have something done about the dummy farmers but it's a problem in itself.

Most dummy farmers that I've personally questioned seem to farm because it's the only way to catch up on kills that veterans have had seasons to rack up on. If you think about it, they do have a point. So, in order to completely solve the problem, I think that seasonal leaderboards will be needed as well as a way to report and deal with any dummy farmers who continue.

Edit: As Zeus said, seasonal leaderboard will make dummy farmers wasted their time/wasted their gold, we want to have this.

Here's a suggestion. How about seasonal kills/deaths/goals that reset when a new season starts? And another kills/deaths/goals stat for a total of when the toon was created? I think this could keep things fair for each new season.

Open to suggestions on this idea!

I agree, I also complained at this last year in 31 cap, when I was trying to get tdm banner i noticed I was 1 of 3 people who were not twinks or dummy farmers, luckily I scraped 25th place at the end of the season. But I spent 15weeks in Tdm (2-3hours a day) got to 8th place, one day before next season and woke up in the morning I went 8th-25th and I was 1500kills away from 24th when I was 2000 ahead

For warrior it seems ridiculous 3500kills overnight, especially as around 15people did this

You can patiently wait twitchin in pain and agony as you watch your name go down the LB day by day till sts decides to take serious measures...

Whether your choice will a or b it's entirely up to you. Personally i don't expect a seperate LB till next expansion. I was hoping on it when that toon " Death " invaded LB but nada.
So as i said up to you to see if you wanna stay on LB at all cost or give up on it. Its not fair i know already.

Lav, I can totally relate to how you're feeling right now!

At the end of season four, I reached the CTF leaderboard for the first time after about 8 months of hard work. I was pushing out about 250 kills a day, and moved my way to about rank 18 on the leaderboard, and trust me that was no easy feat. The week leading up to the end of the season, there was a huge mass of dummy farmers entering the leaderboard, (thanks to STS announcing the end of the season). I saw rogues getting between 500-1k kills a day and got knocked off of the leaderboard days leading up to the end of the season. As a result of this, and STS's inability to curb this, I quit Arcane Legends for about 4 months...

Lav, remember that some people will always cheat to get ahead, and those that dummy farm are known to do so, and as such, their banners hold little value. I won't name any names, but on the CTF leaderboard I can point out at least 7-8 rogues who have cheated, and as for the TDM banner... there's a reason nobody has any respect for it.

I've posted about this many times, and even sent emails to support with actual evidence of kill farming, but little has been done, so all we can do is learn to live with it...

Totally agree with this. A lot of people including the one who started this thread played hard to get in LB in CTF/TDM kills. But now there are a lot of players in LB that got the spot because of dummy farming. Actually I know a guild whose members are dummy farmers and even increased their rank because of this. KUDOS to the LEGIT LB PLAYERS! and to you dummy users, you guys are lame lol!

Exactly, Madnex. There are seasons LBs for timed runs, but not CTF/TDM kills... someones I don't understand STS's logic. I Get that by resetting it you're not really solving the issue of farming b/c it'll just promote people to farm more, however, it'll make it VERY obvious who the farmers are since they will have to do it every season. In doing this, it'll make these leaderboards more exciting, and people will really see who the cheaters and legit players are.

While we're at it why does it make sense to have players who farmed PVE kills stay at the top of the LB for the rest of eternity? How can someone possibly have 3m+m pve kills (not pointing any names out). Just SAYING...

Reset the boards every season and we won't have any issues, but instead of resetting each players individual kills, just have the leaderboards reflect the net amount of pvp kills/flags/pve kills that they have achieved that season.

This game is approaching it's 7th season, and there's no incentive for a new player to play legitimately to achieve these boards since players have been on them for almost 2 years.
