Rifle has more damage and is better for PvP and boss fight. Magmatic has a nice proc which is good for mobs. If you buy magmatic, also buy rifle and swap them out.

Yep bet answer. Switch between them depending which proc or range you need. Both are great weapons.

I like using the staff when farming due to its proc. Proc + slag = good stun combo even on bosses

The best is definitely the woodland slayer, you donīt need to charge him for maxpower. Uncharged he makes a third more power than the xp rifle. Try forum search function for more informations. First I cant belive but i checked it out, its true.

I love totem, but that's because I'm half rogue and can't stand the slow attack speed of a gun. Also the proc is fantastic and even works on bosses.
