"Updating Pending Purchase" - can't get past that.

I purchased platinum yesterday and since then every time I try to sign on, I get as far as "Updating Pending Purchases". I tried waiting, but it says that for a few minutes, then says I have been disconnected from the server.

I tried deleting the app and downloading it again - it still gets stuck at the same spot.

Has this happened to anyone else? I have had no problems with my prior purchases.
