    Default #BuffScorch2014

OK,ok,ok.. I know what your thinking, "Ermergerb, another person created a thread complaining about Scorches patheticness" . Well, your half right. I am not just saying that he needs an upgrade (Gee, here we go) but I am suggesting WHAT should be the upgrade.

I think Scorches AA should have 3X the damage absorption as well as grant a +3 second invulnerability once activated. (AA: Dragon Scales) Naturally this AA buff will be on Nekro as well :/

His stats require a +9% DMG Bonus, +250 HP and +12% Dodge.

    Just my opinion

So you want to make scorch AA more OP then mage's arcane shield?

Invulnerability is more than any pet can do ever, but 40-50% reduction will be fine.

    Scorch definitely needs buff!

It's a Mythic pet that cost 250 platinum, essentially by that comment you are saying you want to nerf Deary because it's doing more damage then a level 1 Rogue. Look, this is the sole ability of a pet! The mage class has multiple skills and their shield has multiple uses, Scorches AA is just weak beyond all comprehension! Sure, invulnerability is a bit huge but maybe at least large scale damage reduction rather then a meager shield of light that can't even protect against a elite goblin... Possibly even an armor boost to go with it! AT LEAST something useful X_X

3x Damage Absorption plus Invulnerability will make Scorch so OP it's silly (and that's even without the proposed stat buffs).

Here is what I would change with Scorch:

    HAPPINESS BONUS
    - Add a % DMG modifier to his happiness bonus (7-10% DMG)
    - Add +HP to his happiness bonus (100-200 is more than enough)

    PASSIVE
    - At level 40, the Hit and Armor debuffs should be 20%, not 15%

    ARCANE ABILITY
    - This should be a straight 3 second invulnerability shield, nothing else (no additional DMG reduction/absorption). People who bought Scorch when he first came out, bought him assuming that this is what they would get, so give it to them.

    POSSIBLE ISSUES
Theoretically, a full party of Warriors with Scorch could rotate AA's and HoR to get a maximum of 25 seconds of invincibility every 30 seconds while in PvP, but only if they time everything perfectly. In practical purposes, with Shield immunity in PvP, I think it is safe to say that this invincibility will be drastically cut down by more than half, so, at best, in the perfect scenario, you might get a total 12 seconds of immunity every 30 seconds.

The other issue with invincibility (and all pets to be honest), is that the times you need this AA shield would be during runs to boss, and typically, your pet is nowhere around, so you don't get the AA. This really limits the usefulness to boss windups, and mob overpulls.

It is a mythic pet. You can't expect it to be better than arcane pets.
There are over 50 pets on the table, go pick another one if you think Scorch is not as good as you thought.

True, but what if the shield is activated before the running? I like your ideas though!

^ I regretted buying scorch several seconds after testing him in any map worth running.

He has sat in my stable depressed, unfed, neglected, and laughed at by the other pets ever since.

A few clicks of your buttons can save this lonely dragon from his misery.

Act now call 0-800-BUFF-SCORCH-2014 and donate... a worthy AA could change his life forever.

    1) No class has 3 seconds of invulnerability. And neither mages or warriors need an extra 3 seconds on top of the 2 seconds each has. Also giving 3 seconds without requiring charging will make this skill very OP. Because of a bug mages could get 2 seconds of invulnerability without charging but this was nerfed/fixed. So this suggestion is a non-starter.

    2) Giving warriors and rogues even more damage reduction when they already have significantly higher armor and health will just unbalance things even more. Mage vs rogue for a rogue is outlasting mage's shield so now you want to give a shield better then mage's shield.

Sorry but your suggestion isn't well thought out. Also STS should not be giving skills from one class as pet AA or procs on weapons. Eventually every class will look the same.

It's a Mythic Pet, consider the AA it's skill and attribute to the fight. TBH a lot of skills are related to pets and vice versa... Also, you forget that this pet AA is really a PvE AA due to the fact that it holds no stun/panic etc. You wouldn't find a warrior even just using the three seconds of invulnerability in PvP because even then they will only land like 1-2 direct hits.
