How do you post your signature?

I might do a signature contest for 100k but after i chose the winner how do i upload it? Lol im a total noob :P

Go to settings. On the left there should be an option that says "edit sig". Click the photo icon, and save

But after i make my sig or someone else makes it for me, do i copy the signature? Im so confused lol
