Touble!!!!!!!! Help

I downloaded Pocket Legends yesterday and I LOVEEEEE it. I played on it for about an hour or so. I had to go somewhere for a while so i couldn't play it since i have it on my ipod touch. As soon as I got home I immediately tried to get on. I typed my password in and pressed login. It said connecting for about a minute or so then a message popped up. FAILED TO CONNECT TO THE POCKET LEGENDS GAME SERVERS. PLEASE CHECK YOUR INTERNET CONNECTION. So I did. I went to my router and unplugged it for about 5 minutes then plugged it back in. Tried again... same message. So I thought that maybe the servers were down so I waited overnight to see if that would work. I woke up 10 minutes ago and tried to logon a couple of times. Each time I tried to logon I got the same message. So I just want to know what is going on?

Delete the application
Restart your device
Download the application again
Open the application
Login

Thanks Reaper - that is good advice. You may want to check to see if you have an internet connection by opening Safari and browsing to a webpage before going the restart route.
