    Default pally/hybrid type noob question D;

    is it natural to go oom in like 5 seconds flat in pvp?

    i mean like i know im only 20 but i figured id get a feel for pvp and i was like 1v1 this full int mage who was the same level as me (probly a twink x.x) and i wouldnt stand a chance. i can time my heals right and put down my combos right, but i just couldnt kill him before my mana pool was up.

    idk i just wanna know if im doing something wrong ><

    Yep! It's even worse at lvl 35, though - Either you owned the guy in 1-3 seconds or he owns you in 1-3 seconds.

    It's timing IMO. If you use your shield right before he unleashes his combo, of course it's gonna run out.

    At lvl 50, even with the -10% pvp dmg update, mana shield or not... If they critical combo ur a55, ur screwed. Imo the devs need to fix this. Seriously a 1v1 match cant even last more than 3 secs.

    Low level pallys have terrible regen, that's why many people choose to level as an Int mage and go pally closer to the cap. There is some decent Str regen gear at 35 (Zombie), a full set at 40 (Thoth), even better set at 45 (Isis), and good but less than Isis at 50 (Rift with bonus, Hate, Destiny). Until you have better regen gear, it will be tough for you to kill an Int mage unless you manage to explode them with your initial combo.

    Hold back just a little bit. Don't hit them with the combo in the first initial seconds. Unless it's a warbird with a hammer. Then you have to run and get away from him as fast as you can. I had some trouble with lvl 20 pallies too. That's why I deleted mine lol

    But, uh what i would do is to hold back (like i said) and drain life and heal while your opponent is unleashing his combo. When you feel you are about to get screwed by a combo at half hp, mana shield up, heal, freeze and keep your distance.

    i know, against said mage i dont even use my shield 1v1 i dont have a problem surviving his burst, i still go oom before i can get anywhere near landing a kill, and i mean i can spawn and go back before he has time to regen once or twice and still wont stand a chance ;.;

    1v1 against a bear its pretty simple, i just kite and watch him die, birds are tougher but i found if i can time my shield right then ill survive long enough to land a kill, depending on how good the bird is. some of those twink birds are rediculous tho T_T

    ill give the holding back a little a try when i play again lol i still have the aion mindset when i play ><

    as for gear (im only lvl 20 atm lol) the only gear worth mentioning is my lvl 18 pink club, lvl 19 purple chest, and my lvl 19 pink shield.

    oh and while im at it, is going 2h viable with a paladin or hybrid in pvp? i havent really had a chance to test it out yet :S

    You want to be a beastly int mage level 20? If I remember correctly? This was the build I used. 3 Lightning, 1 mana shield, 1 frost bite 4 firestorm 5 heal 5 drain life

    look at the dmg floating off above their head. I usually have it figured out.
