Is it worth spending the platium/gold?

Which is more preferred using old or plat to buy?

Obviously gold. 3 plat to buy just one pot, its outrageous.

Its better now then it was during combat rebalance, anyone else remember that? The buttons were so close that it was pretty much impossible to not hit platinum button, I thought it was the devs way to scam us out of platinum.

You purchase it and the count-down starts immediately, so only buy it when you're in your game and about to do your run. It lasts 5 minutes.

I'd say it's worth it if you're grinding out your last levels, on a map that already gives decent XP and has enough trash to give you your full 5 minutes. If you're lower level, I'd say it's a waste because lower levels don't take that much time to level, and you have plenty of quests to keep you busy.

Don't use plat for it, totally overpriced. Do your run, get the gold and liquidate your drops, and you can usually pay for an elixir with that.

It's not 200 times XP, it's 200% XP so 2 times XP lol. There are two different XP elixirs, 2 times XP for 1500g/3p, and 2.5 times XP for 3000g/6p. I wouldn't recommend using them on your first character. When you fo use them, I recommend the cheaper one. You get double XP for 1500g and it seems like a bit of a waste to pay twice as much for an additional 0.5 times XP.
