Default a bit disappointed with myth set

    hi,

i bought myth set (level 26 and 31) and perform the upgrade mission but im a bit disappointed,

i earn a lot of damage thats true but i lost a huge amount of health and armor that kept me alive more time, if i play alone or again several mobs that dont die quickly i die more times than in the past,

how can i change this? i bought ring elondrian fitness cause it gives more armor instead of the one i have, my stats now are:

    health 2950
    dodge 6.15
    critical 19.05
    bonus dmg 383
    mana 5800
    damage 609.7
    dps 685.9
armor 1243 (i remember i had almost 1400 with the previous items)

    my items:

    expedion rifle of assault +12
    vili assault +12
    vili force +9
    elondrian ring fitness INT +12
lunar pendent + 12 and with paragem

    feel free to suggest, thx!

I am still using the mythic set because I'm not willing to sacrifice damage. I figure I need to deal as much damage before I die as I can

Go with the Brutality version of the Gun, it will bring your health up to about 3100 or so, and you lose very little to no damage over the assault version.
Might consider dumping your Lunar and getting a Wild talisman of brutality. I sold my lunar before Tindirin came out and haven't looked back.

What skills you are using and how you use them will have a lot to do with your survivability, as will the make up of your party. There are too many threads asking about skills so I suggest you read through them - most of them come to the same conclusions.

Also, your pet choice can help make up some of the difference, choose a pet that gives good health and overall party boost as well - Orion comes to mind unless you have better (slag, clyde, Sam, etc.)

Truth is elites are very tough on Mages - and from what I'm reading about the new tombs and seen from the arena, it's not going to get any better.

Mythic armor has the highest damage and crit but I rarely use it anymore since Druid came out. The health and armor loss isn't worth the damage gain IMO but I don't use shield.

I only use necro/Druid brutality and security sets anymore. Especially for the new tombs. Survivability will be more important.

I'm actually working on a set with low damage and 5k health ATM for those tombs. Plus there is a screen shot of the new armor which will be better than mythic that comes with the tombs.

Get yourself a mythic ring with life shards.....

a mythic ring with 3 non-grand life shards adds 400 health more than a level 41 elo fit ring with 2 grand glacials.

and you only lose 20 damage....so 400 health at the expense of 20 damage, very worth it in hard elite maps.

I personally have 2 sets of gear i switch between as far as armor and helm are concerned.

My damage build with pet, i can get 750 damage tghis build consists of

Elo rifle with 1 para and 2 glacials
    myth helm glacial gems
    myth armor glacial gems
    elo ring glacial gems
    elo pendant glacial gems

My other set i use for survivability with which i achieve roughly 4500 hp with pet
    this set consists of
    elo rifle
druid helm brut with 2 life shards
druid armor brut with 2 life shards
blood ruby shuyal 3 life shards
    elo pendant 2 glacials

what i mostly use tho is my damage build....but with that life shard mythic ring.........

Hey aarrggggg I have a mythic ring exactly like that for my health set. I do lose a lot of damage compared to my other blood ruby (para and 2 grand glac) but the health boost comes in handy sometimes.

That ring helped me to get over 5k health on my health set tho.

No I use a full int build. I switch gear to adjust my stats. For that set I use:

    Magma/planar potency staff-elondrian gems

Dragon scale of will armor-elondrian gems

    Blood ruby-elondrian gems

Necro amulet of assault-1 grand blood gem 1 regular blood gem(bought it that way lol)

    Malison as pet.

Only my magma staff has 1 grand elondrian gem rest are regular ones. I think both weapons give me just over 5k health.

Damage is low with that set so I normally adjust it to have 4700 health with much higher damage by switching a few things. That's just my max health set.

Thanks. I'm always looking for highest health, armor and damage sets every season. Each helps in certain situations.

I still find it funny that the goblin ring has the highest armor of any ring in game. It's not even stashable and only level 2.

IMO, Sorcs r supposed to deal damage. If u reduce dmg to gain health, tanks dmg and health will still be better. So i prefer doin full dmg and hide behind tanks.

Ok so what happens when there are no warriors to hide behind or you are soloing elites? It's always good as a Mage to have 2 sets. One for damage and another for surviving. Especially when using all attack skills like I do.

    Sorry, just to make sure.
You use the mythic sets when doing a mythic quest upgade, right?
Is there any gear with gemmed and better stats than you mythic (not yet upgrade it), use it then.
Because after upgraded, stats is boost to 36, armor & helm will be lvl 36.
    Yes, upgrade require sacrifice Goodluck!

Most have elon gems tho. I hit 4700 health with this while still keeping around 450 damage. I mainly switch my blood rubys and Mali for dova.
