Should i sell pink and purple items to auction or shop?

I know it takes a lot of time to track down the exact price for a particular item and i have tons.. it'd be a waste of time dont you think? Should i sell sell them all to shops and get the standard rate?

Why not stash them until you see similar items in the auction, then list them for around the same price? Or make a thread in the traders' section.
