Updated 12/5 Keep and Eye Out for More!

Sorry to keep you waiting, but anticipation makes the reveal twice as exciting, right?? Leaderboard vanities are still in progress and will be revealed next week. Keep an eye on the announcements section for more news, updates and changes to the Winter event based on feedback we've received over the coarse of the Winter Event Public Test. Thank you all for your participation and feedback, it's been incredibly valuable and we can't wait to reveal the winter even to everyone soon!

Here are some of the major changes coming to the live event:
+ Upon reaching Platinum Tier, players will now receive 1 Enchanted Eye of Syrillax in addition to the recipe to craft more.
+ The Enchanted Eye of Syrillax will no longer require planar essences, but instead will require 10 of each of the following gems: Glacial, Blood and Fire (This means the crafted gems, not just dropped essences.)
+ The 2013 Christmas Vanities will be modified to make them a little more unique for this year.
+ The spawn rate of the Syrillax Guardians has been reduced so you won't see them quite as often.
+ We nerfed Tarlok's "sky bomb" ability to cause less damage.
+ Tarlok Gem recipes have been reduced to the same requirements as last year + 2 ice dragon scales.

I am really happy that you guys refined the Eye of Syrillax. I have to say I was very disappionted/outraged when I found out it required plat to craft. I think giving one gem and having the option for the recipe is a fantastic compromise. I do think that the intention here was to give people something to do with the Orb instead of it just sitting in inv after the event. Which is a good idea and I like that my plat won't be wasted in the end but with the way it was setup prior it came across the wrong way.

For the requirement of 10 gems each that's a little much, 5 of each is more appropriate here.

I am also excited to see the changes to the old vanities. For the rogue ice queen vanity tweaks please make it more female warrior-ish. I am a girl and that vanity does not appeal to me at all, I highly doubt it appeals to any of the male rogue players either. Maybe something like below.



All in all it's great to see the changes taking shape. Please do not rush to get it out, I'd personally rather wait an extra week or two and have that killer event then have everything be pushed to fast.

You need 6 essences that relate to the main stat and 4 essences that relate to the secondary stat. So with wind gem 6 fire and 4 glacial plus the 2 dragon now.

10 gems of each? So... We would need 300 essences (even more with the event essences) for a +3/3/3 stats gem? Seems a bit exaggerated...

Are event made for all ? I don t see any interest to go to platinium. It s cool, no need to do no life on this event and server willl not bee overcharged.

10 of each gem? Can we be reasonable? Thats 100 of each essence. How about making it 3 of each gem, seeing as we will be getting an increase of 3 in stat?

300 essences is a lot, but it will be fun. Now you only have to buff the gem to make it worth and we are all good to go :-)

You mean those essences relate to the stats or the stats relate to main and secondary as characteristic adjectives of the gems' stats which are based on the respective essences?

I dont think 10 of each type of gems is an issue.
Its much better than planar essences
And the fact that it requires so many ingridients raises its rarity and value so it would be worth getting

Just think 3 if those on a myth item
+9str/dex/int and 6.5% smthing crit..
