Check the unofficial FAQ on the OP:

9) Will the game continue the current pay model of Pocket Legends?

Yep!

Same pricing model, same plat applies to both games.

Basically it will be Free-To-Download with microtransaction (in-App) purchases using in-game currency ie Platinum just like Pocket Legends does.

When Pocket Legends released last year, it was free up to levels 11 or 13, I forget, then to proceed past Forest Haven you had to purchase the higher dungeons up to level 25 max at release. I guess B* will be similar. IE 3 areas available but to proceed need to use plat... that's what I think will happen but you can play for free the initial areas (which will be amazing). Should find out soonish.

Oc, a few weeks or so later, the B* Saga/story will continue with a purchasable update similar to PL

What are the main differences between Pocket Legend and Blackstar?

Blackstar is a more serious game. It is science-fiction instead of fantasy. It has years of pre-production behind it since it was designed to be a very large-scale PC product. It supports more environmental gameplay, and may have randomly-generated content at launch.

How many areas/zones will be available at launch?

The launch of Blackstar will be similar to when we launched Pocket Legends in terms of scope. At least three different zones with many more following quickly as updates.

Any vehicles in Blackstar?

Not at launch, but the engine supports it. The sky is the limit

Do you plan to introduce PvP in Blackstar?

We will most likely have PvP in Blackstar at launch, but it is too soon to tell.

Can i upgrade my armor and my weapons in the game?

Absolutely, we will have even more customizations available than we do in Pocket Legends.

If it's "just like in PL" then you'll have to wait at least 11 months for levels 1-56 to become free, but they may do things differently here because the game will grow in a different way I have a hunch.. What is free is free to download likely up to a certain level after that you will need to purchase I would guess. eg 1-13 free; 14-25 pay !only an example! STS will be much more concrete in the pricing with B* I am sure and guess most ppl will want to pay for it.

Anyone know if weapon drops will be based on pure luck, xp, time played, kills, etc, or all of the above??

Hope it's a fair system. Would be cool if those putting in more effort and hours would be rewarded more than those who do not. Just my 2 pennies.

Just heard Gary's podcast and a choice of sex will be an option for B* as well as the three class's. Good interview with some great insight into STS and the future. You guys really are pioneering this aspect of gaming, great work
