No one bothers to read any of these posts in this thread. Everyone says you earn it, you don't apply, etc, but then the next poster says. "I am very helpful I want to be a guardian"

Being normal is much more relaxed

That's why pretty much all the guardians don't wear their shields. It's the same thing with your ambassador hat so to speak.

I'm pretty sure GoA is over, unless they're nominating 5 or 6 more after the release of DL, but i highly doubt that.

Too true, which is why I don't buy stuff like the rabbit ears, fame gets annoying. There are a few oldies that really deserve the recognition though.

Yeh it should have been a one time thing, cuz then u get all the people who join just for that, then they strangely vanish from forums. And although most of the time its pretty obvious when some one is being a forum tryhard, some people are more smooth about it. I say end the program and change this thread to 'Thank you to the Guardians of Alterra'
The forum legends on that list were not working for a shield they did that work for fun and to help others, i think it would clean a lot of todays trash off the forums if this was done.

GoA is really a forum thingy ^_^. Look at the people who have gotten it. A few examples like woundedeagle and necroreaper. Guys who have really contributed to the forums. Don't try to become GoA. It's nearly impossible . Just enjoy the game, and make lots of friends .

EDIT: you might also want to take into account that no GoAs have been added in quite a while. I'm almost possitive that sts has given up on the program for reasons stated by ely up there .
