What is the difference?

What is the difference between "eye of syrillax" and "enchanted eye of syrillax"? I thought the recipe only requires 10 of each normal gem, but it seems you require an eye of syrillax in order to enchant it also?
Can someone please clarify and explain how crafting works.

The Eye of Syrillax is the crafting ingredient. The Enchanted Eye is the crafted/plat tier obtained version.
