Default Multiple paras better/worse than grands?

Are weapons with 2nd/3rd para better or worse than sticking with a one para and couple grand ints? (level 41 mythic weapons)

they might reduce it slightly, i dont as of your stats pollata. but at end-game most people run for DMG on the equipment. They take some items which gives them HP and para gem it. In this way they are able to maintain their DMG as well as their HP.

When comparing 2 blood rubys (1 with 2 grand glac and one para, other with 3 para gems) I not only lose damage but stats also when using the one with 3 para gems.

Only the first para gem is worth it. More than one para per item is worse than having one with grand gems.

the benefits of int: 3 hp(very few) mana (useless)

Go for as much para gems as you can, you gona loose a minimal hp and mana and you will gain damage. rogues gona loose some crit, and warriors gona loose tons of hp, so they might think twice. but our main stat is the most worthless.

Yeah if its normal gems but 2 super gems gave me more damage than the 2 extra para gems. 12 int loss isn't worth the 4 damage additional paras give. Only the first gives a huge boost.

You forget that 1 INT also means +3.85 (used to be +3.5 before the recent buff) extra health points that can be absorbed by your shield. So that together with the 3 health points means 6.85 health points.

6.85 x 6 (for a grand glacial gem) = 41 health. Plus with +6 INT you are also adding about 5 damage.

With any extra para gems, you are getting +2 damage. Multiplied by your bonus damage factor (around 400-450% at level 41), you end up with around 8-9 damage.

    So what's better?

    5 damage + 41 health or 8-9 damage

I'd say they are pretty much the same, just a tradeoff. So considering the cost of para gems, I'd say no.

But at lower levels, more para gems = better.

And when we move up to level 46, and grand gems give 7 stat points, then definitely any more than 1 is worse than grand gems.

Thanks for the replies. Compounding paras on separate items works correctly as well? (two paras on separate items show the same stats as two on the same item)

Paragems will continue to be the best gem on 46 because you'll get 30 more main stat than now with the five more levels which will boost your bonus damage% hence increasing the damage added by paragems. It might be less efficient to use paras instead of grands but mostly depends on what you need to balance your build (since 10 paras on endgame gear is realistically out of reach now).
