There is no comma after "set" because "possibly without one piece because I'm missing it" is not an independent clause. Therefore, a comma is used with a conjunction ONLY when the two sentence that are being combined are independent clauses. In this case they are not.
For clarity purposes, delete ", and." Then add "to" after "try" in the third line.
Sorry, the second part was due to carelessness.
As for the first part, I had to look that up and you're absolutely correct. I used the comma to emphasize a pause so op would understand it better by reading the sentence in fractions. However, it seems I did misuse the comma.
