Technically, "breathe" is associated with lungs to filter other gasses in the air to consume oxygen that goes to the blood that would help any animal or human alive.
"Live" is word when used as verb means
1. remain alive.
2. make one's home in a particular place or with a particular person.
or when used as adjective means
1. not dead or inanimate; living.
2. relating to a musical performance given in concert, not on a recording.
3. (of a wire or device) connected to a source of electric current.
4. (of a question or subject) of current or continuing interest and importance.
none of these would fit to describe "fire".
Fire consumes oxygen not breathe the oxygen.
Fire don't live, they burn.
