The Gold Cap

I believe Justg said that the gold cap is set at 999,999. I just want to confirm if this is correct or not since "thelonearcher" posted a pic with more than this cap.

If the cap is really 999,999, I think that it should be extended to a lot more. Not that I have that much, but I can really see me and others get there (especially after the ability to trade gold). I just want to hear any opinions from the devs about raising this cap. Is it not possible to make the cap at 2.14 billion?

1.3 will introduce a higher gold cap (unfortunately, this requires a client change).
