Yes in BS many purps, greens, and even oranges are comparable to the pinks, and for some builds preferable to them. However what you are showing there displays two different issues IMO. First that the crafted Mage items have terrible stats, worse than uncrafted. Mega Mage is significantly better than Adept if you consider is has 8 more M/s, but by crafting MM you turn thos M/s into worthless H/s, and make the item hardly better than an Adept. Second, the pinks in general should probably get a boost of a fee stat points beyond what they have now (even when we get set bonuses). I think they currently have something like 2 more stat points than a purp, and four more than a green, and while I like that there is good lower gear, I think that's just a little too close. So while I think your comparison suffers because that is the crafted (bad) pink and not the uncrafted (good) pink, I agree to an extent since for instance Lowman's greens are nearly as good as Mega Mage.

Pray tell, what can you possibly do with 4051 platinum I've bought the 75 Platinum pack a total of three times (225 Platinum) and I have 5 left over still and have no idea what to use it on.

Anyway, on the Archer's side of town, we have the same exact phenomenon going on - Our green Bagman set is incredibly similar to Raid Roach. Add in a 2% Crit 10 Damage ring to Bagman's and you've even possibly got a set better than Raid Roach!
