Of all the level 55 pink sets - which was the biggest upgrade over their 50 versions?

This is one of those threads where there probably isn't going to be a right answer.

Question:

Between the 3 sets - which do you consider to be the biggest upgrade:

- Mega Mage > Cosmos/Shadows
- Fury Fighter > Rift/Hate
- Raid Roach > Void/Sentinel

Why? Lets say that for the purposes of this argument, we're talking pure builds, so pure dex bird, pure strength bear, and pure int mage. (Keep it apples to apples)

I think for mage, the set doesn't improve a lot, Armor increase 18, damage increase 36-25, but hit -20%, crit -16%, and it doesn't look as good as shadow set......
For Bird I think it increase well, damage and crit, but armor still low......
Bear increase armor and dodge a lot, I think it's good......

Dont like the looks if them so i dont buy them. Just the dex set ir bossfight for my bird, but in map i use sent talon set

In terms of looks since I'm so shallow cosmos rift and void will ALWAYS take the cake

The Raid Roach set holds a HUGE damage advantage over Void/Sentinel/Sunblessed. The 41 crit is absolutely astounding. You lose your "balance" in regards to other stats such as Dodge, H/s, and M/s but having high damage and a 71% crit chance (with Focus) makes up for that by making your bird into what it does best - a true killing machine.

Aside from the loss of character "balance," the only other gripe I can think of b/t RR and Void/Sentinel is that the RR Recurve has a 10m range, while the Blaster/Shotgun has a 12m range.

I think the mage set was also a pretty huge improvement from the level 50 gear. There is already a lot if discussion of this in the enchantress class discussion, so I won't go into too much detail, but really even the level 55 lowmans greens are a significant upgrade from cosmos or shadows, and any level 55 mate still using level 50 gear us going themselves, and anyone they play with, a disservice.

Lol - I just realized that I'm still using shadow robes and a creepy doll (you've seen me, back when we farmed the King and Queen together). The priority for me right now is to get my mage enough cash to buy a set of mega mage robes and a mega mage bracer. Next is to get enough money to get my bird to 56. The other reason why I still think I have them is to just look different. Seeing a bunch of mages in red robes and that gold bracer looks, well, a bit ugly. I suppose now I can understand why people buy the Sewer Queen staff, even though the gemstone staff is a better buy overall.

I suppose so - merchanting as it was called in RuneScape.

I never tried Hate, wasn't on that much during that time, but Fury definitely improved Rift's tanking abilities.

Offensive abilities, meh not really. Rift has higher Hit, the only reason Fury has higher base damage than Rift is because its 55, maybe set bonuses will make it better (hopefully).

same here... build underling-drainers set for bossfight, but no reason to buy any RR...
