Default Paras, elondrian, eyes, or tarlock?

Im very confused with the new gems. Does anyone know what the best grand/perfect gems are for level 26 mage? Or maybe what the best combo of gems is?

Is it bad that elondrian gems dont add damage, int, or str? Because i heard str and int are good for a mages shield

Para gems, elordian gems, mana gems and eye gems are all helpful in their own way.

And alordian gems give health which is key for a Mage surviving longer

On my tank twink, my mana gem rarely does, but sometimes I gain 117hp on attack. At the sacrifice of 50max hp, as long as my hp isn't always full, it's nice to get additional heals at times. That said, I'm the only one who uses it and sometimes I feel the loss of 5 str isn't worth it. Oh well.

Unless you want to spend a lot on gems, probably 1 para, rest super glacial. Tarlok wisdoms are slightly better when full super, but it costs a lot to get them. Eyes aren't as useful imo, DEX isn't that useful for sorcs.

I still dont get whats so special about elon gems. I thought they were only useful for rogues? Dont mages need str for their shield? Once a mages shield is gone they are basically dead anyway

If you are a rogue or mage, you will want to do a mixture of para and eyes. If you're a mage, do 1 para for every 3 eyes. If you're a rogue, do 3 para for every 1 eye.

My current build is 10 para, 3 eye and both gems complement each other and make up for each other's weaknesses. The overall result is a rogue with very high damage, crit, and mana with little to no loss in health.

You will want more eyes as a mage because critical is far more noticeable on a mage than a tiny damage increase. You'll still get damage increase via paracelsus gems but you will also gain a bigger critical rate increase.

Main thing is your budget. If you want the setup Zeus suggested, be prepared to invest 15-20m on gems. If you cannot afford that, I suggest a mixture of grand tarlok and ur primary gem with 1 eye and 1 para gem. Having 1 eye and 1 para is a must to compete in PvP. After that get as many grand tarlok as you can and the rest grand fire/glacial/blood.

I think eyes only give 2 of each stat at 26. Maybe 1 eye is worth, but don't see myself using multiples

On lvl25-29, using original gems is not as big disadvantage as on other lvls example lvl10-16, you need 1 para 1 eye obviously, the rest idk, use more eye if you need more crit.

at 15 4paras and 6eyes work like a beast on mage and rouges i guess it would be good to have 4para and 6eyes on 26 as well ty.

That's just because at 15, you don't lose your main stat when using eyes. At 26, you lose 3 per eye which is a pretty hefty amount.
