Good Soul - Most Items Given Daily (most in last 24 hours) <--- Promotes item sharing and... problems, with.. who gets what? maybe>?

I like some of Ta11ons suggestions, they are outside of the box. K/d is a good thing to track

This is an mmorpg and leaderboards are just plain hard. The last thing we want is some insane version of World of Warcraft's initial pvp ranking system where each players skill level is ranked by the number of kill points scored on other players, compared to everyone elses. It makes pvp grinding absolutely insane.

A title system seems more organic in an mmorpg than a leaderboard, but thats just me.

I feel that things like most boss kills will encourage farming, which makes leveling a pain, and time played might just make people remain logged in while they sleep.
Im sure there are ways around it though.

Look at the mw2 leader board. It has all the good ideas there but plz change score to gold earned if u do this!

And although the top few may get bad stuff for this...

Healing, times cast, hp healed, average
Fire, Ice, Lightning spells, x cast, x damage, average
Buff/Debuffs, x cast, total stats provided to party, total debuffs provided, average

and with pvp coming, it would be nice to compare these stats and others side by side with another friend.

I like all of these

I would add-
K/D ratio all-time and weekly
Most deaths! (lets go with only weekly on this one haha)
Most healing given (both AoE heal and AoE regen buff included) -all-time and weekly
Most damage sustained - this is an attempt at recognizing tanks, who cannot compete with archers for most kills - all-time and weekly (other ideas to improve tank recognition would be great)

I think per-level leaderboards would be really cool and add a lot of re-play value to levels. Stuff like:

-fastest time to kill all mobs solo
-fastest time to kill all mobs with group
-fastest time to kill all bosses solo
-fastest time to kill all bosses with group
-Most damage inflicted by a single player (without dying)
-Most damage taken without dying

Those might not all work well, but I think you get the idea.
