    Question Curse Questions

What additional side abilities are good to unlock with curse? Does curse increase damage against enemies when you are a higher level? For example will leveling to 28 increase the effectiveness of curse or will it still do the same damage back if i were 26? Why does curse do so much damage back against enemies with dot, but on the other hand, does very minimal damage against enemies with lightning and aimshot? Im looking at a pvp perspective.

I unlocked that last three... Skipped the reduce damage one cause wanted it to reflect back the damage.

It reflects back based on how hard the enemy hits, so the harder they hit the harder it gives back... Not based on your level, but just on how hard the opponent hits...
Dot reflects back a ton, but I can find no explanation anywhere as to why, sry can't help u on that question.

Gl and lemme know if u figure out any good secrets with it, hehe :-)

Curse does not reflect damage. It deals damage based on the user's damage stat. I have tested this multiple times - my aim shots and basic attacks both hurt me 8%~. DoT effects count as individual attacks, so the person who used a DoT spell takes damage each tick - in fact they take much more damage than dealing. This is why it is advised to never use a DoT effect under curse.

All of the upgrades are important in my opinion. The range is helpful to hit all nearby enemies, the duration is very important, and I forgot the other upgrades. But the only one that is controversial to use is the damage reduction upgrade. Rogues are not affected due to their already nerfed damage, and sorcerers do not attack during curse. However in big team fights, Warriors can still dish out a lot of damage to you. It's a pout better spent there than elsewhere.

That might have sounded a bit confusing, so let me know if you have questions.

Thanks very informative. One of my questions still remains, however. Will curse increase damage-back when you are a higher level than your opponent, vs being the same level or a lower level than your opponent? People keep telling me this is the case. They keep complaining about a certain smurf being two levels higher than them and using curse. I noticed this too. In clashes my curse was ineffective. However, a mage two levels higher than me was using curse to destroy everyone.

5/5 on curse... use during clashes, rogues, arena, some elites imo.

    Simple.

No, as Judge said the damage done is calculated on the base damage stat of enemy who is cursed.

Being two levels higher than the enemy is not factored into it.

Yes, since higher levels have higher damage.

It's actually calculated by the sorcerer's stat, not the enemy.

It was posted by devs and on the Stats description that it's based on a percentage of the opponents damage... not the mages.

However if you've tested it and know that that's wrong I won't disagree. I've never tested it out closely myself with different opponents I just know how it was supposed to work and what sts told us it was based on... and we all know how often things aren't working properly on here, lol.

No again, the Curse damage is calculated by taking the base damage stat of the player who gets curesed, the mage's damage who casts curse is not taken into account. See here:

Pretty sure this is correct, so it does not matter the level, nor stats of the sorcerer, only the stats of the enemy.

Mb, I thought the mod said the opposite.

Either way, the damage does not depend which skill the cursed target uses. That I know, as I have tested.

Ahh so its probably not wise to use a staff vs a curse mage?

Don't auto attack at all during curse. It will do more damage to you than them.
