A rogues job

Every now and then I hear people say a Warrior's job is to keep the mobs busy, or the sorcerer's job is to keep the party alive (though this seems to be up for debate at 41). What's a rogues job? I know we're good at killing the boss faster than the other classes, is that it?

Yeah... in ideal world of mmorpg. In AL world, all you need is Rogue.
