    Default incorrectly configured router?

Ok upon reading the sticky on latency i saw that 6 was an incorrectly configured router... i have good latency on 3g around town and any other wifi but i live in the sticks so i dont get 3g at the house and only the house wifi gets huge lag spikes...i think my router is on its default settings and on a hardwired computer bandwidth test i get between 4-5m/s....is my router configured wrong? am i missing something here?
