Potting peer pressure

Using elixirs seems to be a controversial topic. Talked a lot with friends about peer pressure to use pots, but yesterday something happened that really made me wonder.

I joined a random Hideout run, four people I didn't know, between 51 and 55. Three of them took experience pot after I joined, and after the first mobs the unpotted one left the game. Because it was the only bird and so I felt bereft of combos, I wrote "to bad". The host answered "booted him, he didn't pot, he is not serious".

What is this?

Have you ever seen this? Being booted for not using experience pot? I just hope this is not a new thing catching on...

Yeah for damage pot this would be nothing new, I'd understand that. Been booted a lot for my drug free attitude :-)

yes there are some few ppl wich asking for dmg pot of all ppl. i just leave then..
sure, the party becomes a huge speed when all have dmg pot, but not sure if its pay when u just get a dagger after 50 runs or die bcz of a trap and have to repot...

Lol. Booted for not using an XP pot and then he bailed when it was time for the boss fight. I just don't get people. Booting for not being serious. I need a face-palm emote. It's a game people!

Personally, I just love using a damage pot, doesn't mean I NEED them to, always nice to have a fellow damage potter though

Yeah I've experienced this before... Most lame excuse to boot...
I leveled in BS since 51 and never used exp pots...
Kinda think that those who don't use pots are the more hardcore... And not taking any 'shortcuts' to level...
Don't let it bother you, lame excuse to boot, and a lot of the time these 'potters' will skip boss cause it 'takes too long', so stick with what your doin and maybe get some reward from bosses...

How hardcore can they be anyway if they're levels 51-55 as you say? Next time you see the host you should boot him with reason "not 56, clearly you're not serious about PL."

This is one of the reasons I just don't do pugs anymore, they just take to long random players that boot after people pot up, they skip bosses, they don't do combos, mages that don't even have the rev spell because they are DPS >< and the list goes on and on and on.....

I am enjoying the game and being level capped bores me, in fact I would rather see the cap get raised before I reach it. I will probably get grief for the next statement but I would boot that player (host) if he is ever in one of my game in the future and this... after he pots. Teach him a lesson.

Actually come to think of it... A truly serious hardcore gamer would likely insist on never using XP pots and doing it the hard way. That's what being hardcore is all about isn't it?
